What is the difference between acupuncture and acupressure?
Both aim to balance the body's energy ("Qi") along pathways called meridians. The primary difference is the application: acupuncture uses thin, sterile needles to stimulate points, while acupressure uses firm pressure from fingers, thumbs, or specialized tools.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Generally, no. Most patients feel only a mild "pinprick" or pressure upon insertion. Once the needles are in, it is common to feel a dull ache, tingling, or heaviness, oŌen referred to as the "Qi sensaƟon," which
indicates the treatment is working.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of treatments varies based on the condiƟon. Acute issues may resolve in 1–3 sessions, while
chronic conditions (like long-term back pain) oŌen require a course of 4–8 sessions over several weeks to
see significant improvement.
What conditions can these therapies treat?
They are widely used for chronic pain (back, neck, and joint pain), migraines, anxiety, insomnia, and
digestive issues. They are also effecƟve for managing nausea related to chemotherapy or pregnancy.
Are there any side effects?
Both are very safe when performed by professionals. Minor side effects can include temporary soreness,
light bruising at the site, or feeling tired/lightheaded immediately following a session.
Is it safe to have acupuncture while pregnant?
Yes, but you must inform your practitioner. Some points are used to treat morning sickness or back pain,
while other specific points are avoided because they can sƟmulate labor.
Why does the practitioner look at my tongue and feel my pulse?
In TCM, the tongue and pulse are diagnostic tools. The tongue’s color and coating provide clues about
internal organ health, and the 12 pulse posiƟons on the wrists help the acupuncturist determine where
energy is blocked.
How should I prepare for my first appointment?
Eat a light meal about 1–2 hours before your session (avoid an empty stomach). Wear loose-fiƫng
clothing so the practitioner can easily reach points on your arms and legs. Avoid caffeine or alcohol just
before the treatment
What is natural healing?
Natural healing refers to approaches that help your body restore balance and health. It often uses
natural remedies and therapies, emphasizing holistic care and the body’s ability to heal itself.
How do I book an appointment?
You can conveniently book an appointment through our website or by calling our clinic directly. We look forward to assisting you on your wellness journey.
What treatments do you offer?
We provide a variety of treatments, including acupuncture, acupressure, cupping therapy, and more. Each service is designed to promote holistic wellness and support your healing process.
Is natural healing safe?
Yes, natural healing methods are generally considered safe when administered by trained professionals. However, we recommend discussing any existing health concerns with us prior to treatment.

CLIENTS TESTIMONIAL

What our Happy Clients reviewed about Us

I am Akhilesh Arora, age 73, retired as scientist from Department of Atomic Energy. I had swelling in the leg knee for a few months and I was not able to bend it beyond a point. I could not sit in cross-legged posture for a long time. I came to Dr. Anup Kumar Pal and told him about my problem. He carried out a few sessions of acupuncture on the left leg and I felt relieved.

Akhilesh Arora

“Very professional clinic with excellent results. My shoulder pain reduced within weeks.”

Vikram

“The therapies here helped me recover from back pain without any medicines or surgery. The doctors are very caring.”
